OVERVIEW OF THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE ELDERLY REGARDING REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AT KAYON PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER

ABSTRAK
Background: Reproductive health is a crucial aspect of senior well-being because it encompasses interconnected physical, mental, and social conditions. Lack of knowledge about these changes can impact quality of life.
Objective: To describe the level of knowledge of the elderly regarding reproductive health in the working area of Kayon Public Health Center, Palangka Raya City.
Method: This study employed a quantitative descriptive design with a cross- sectional approach. The sample consisted of 39 respondents selected using the Slovin formula. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed univariately through frequency and percentage distribution.
Results: Most respondents demonstrated a good level of knowledge (80%), while 8% had a moderate level and 12% had a low level of knowledge. This indicates that the majority of the elderly possess adequate understanding of reproductive health, although some still require improvement in psychological aspects and preventive measures.
Conclusion: The level of knowledge of the elderly regarding reproductive health at Kayon Public Health Center is generally good. Continuous health education is necessary to ensure that all elderly individuals have equal understanding and are able to maintain their reproductive health optimally.
